Aisha Bywaters is a London based Casting Director and member of the Casting Directors’ Guild (CDG).
Although she expected to work in casting for theatre productions, she enjoyed working for Shaheen Baig on screen productions and stayed as part of her team for six and a half years.
Because Aisha’s mother was an actress, spending several years working for the RSC, she grew up with first hand experience of the financial difficulties actors go through when work dries up. So she completed a Politics degree, and has found that a useful background for some aspects of the casting profession.
Aisha Bywaters’ extensive work across Film, TV, Music Videos and Commercials means she’s worked on everything from feature films A Monster Calls (2016) and The Falling (2014) to hit TV series Black Mirror and Peaky Blinders.
